In 2013, &MAES moderated the monthly “build yourself bar”

The Build Yourself Bar is a platform for do-it-yourself builders and all other parties involved. The first free land plots in Amsterdam have an official owner now and the process of design and development is in full swing. In these monthly meetings, one passes through the same process as the first group of self-builders: from the purchase of the plots to completion of the homes in about two years. There is room for inspiration, to share experiences and to gain knowledge in an informal setting.
