PEACE OF UTRECHT

In 2013, &MAES contributed to the ‘Pact of Soesterberg’.

The Pact of Soesterberg, a debate on military and societal issues, was organized in honor of the 300^th anniversary of the Peace of Utrecht. Over eighty representatives of the Ministry of Defense, of universities and knowledge institutions, the world of arts and culture, societal organizations and students were present during the debate to discuss the relationship between society and the military. Participants were, among others, General Tom Middendorp (Chief Commander of the Military Forces of the Netherlands) and Rene Gudé (Thinker of the Fatherland). Patrick Lodiers (Dutch TV show host) moderated the event.

Content development, organization and moderating

&MAES came up with the concept and content for the event and supported the Peace of Utrecht on practical matters: from sending out invitations to onsite management.
